This year's theme reflects Mother Mary's concern ...

Our last glimpse of the beautiful Sister Emmanuel.

This depiction is based on an impression, derived from the description given of the apparition of Mother Mary, Queen of Peace, by visionary Ivan Dragicevic when she appeared to him at 10:30 pm on the night of Tuesday, May 12, 1998 on Apparition Hill (Podbrdo) in Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina.

This artwork was used on the program's front cover and as banners for the processionals, courtesy of the artist, Adrian Mills (Address: Bihan Ker, Nansmellyon Road, Mullion, Cornwall, TR12 7EE, England. Tel: 011-44-1326-240-394)

We fell in love with this depiction of Mother Mary. We purchased it and I sit here writing this in front of the banner. You might say, she is covering my back, literally and figuratively.

Among the highlights of the conference was meeting Steve Shawl of medjugorge.org in person. He was all he was cracked up to be and more. Just as warm, gracious, and personable as his wife, Ana, who was our tour leader in June.

It was our first Medjugorje conference. Excellently organized and classy-all-the-way, I give it my highest recommendation. If you can't go to Medjugorje, this is the next best thing.

As soon as time permits, I will transcribe my notes from Sister Emmanuel's wonderful talk.
